Introduction

SARK/SAIL supports Directed Call Pickup for Snoms. This means that the user can pick up a ringing call by pressing the flashing BLF key. Obviously, BLF needs to be set up for the extension(s) you wish to pickup. In order to use this feature your Snom phone must be running Release 7 or higher.

Setup is very straightforward. It can be done manually or through the snom provisoning window in the SARK extensionsedit screen.

Manual Setup

In the snom function keys menu set your BLF entries as follows...

BLF 402|*8
BLF 403|*8

Here we are adding two BLF keys for extensions 402 and 403 and we are specifiying directed call pickup with the |*8 clause. Save your changes and the feature is ready to use.

Automatic Set-up

To provision a BLF key from a template the format is longer

fkey0$: blf <sip:402@192.168.1.117;user=phone>|*8 fkey1$: blf <sip:402@192.168.1.117;user=phone>|*8

Issue a commit and reboot your phone.

4.0.1 BLF support

Sail 4.0.1 has BLF support in the front-end for most popular phone types (Snom, Yealink, Polycom, Aastra, Cisco and Panasonic)
